Acne:

Acne is a disorder of the skins oil glands that results in plugged pores and outbreaks of lesions, and is the most common of all skin diseases. People of all ages can get acne, but it is most common in adolescents. Nearly 17 million people in the United States have acne problems. Acne is one of the most common skin disease in people ages of 12 to 24. Acne can show up as any of the following; congested pores, whiteheads, blackheads, pimples, pustules, or cysts (deep pimples). These blemishes occur wherever there are many oil (sebaceous) glands, mainly on the face, chest, and back. Acne is commonly referred to in slang as zits.

Causes of Acne:

The exact cause of acne is unknown, but several factors can contribute to the cause of acne or make it worse. The important factor is heredity or genetics. Researchers believe that the tendency to develop acne can be inherited from parents.
Dirt: Oil is a natural secretion of the oil glands, though some people are naturally oilier than others. "Blackheads" are oxidized oil, not dirt. Sweat from exercise, whether washed off promptly or not, also doesn't cause acne. On the other hand, excessive washing can dry and irritate the skin.
Stress: Some people get so upset by their pimples that they pick at them and make them last longer. Stress, however, does not play much of a direct role in causing acne. The good news is that to improve the acne, people would not be required to calm down and reduce stress, unless it is causing them to pick at their skin.

Acne Medication And Treatment:

An estimated $100 million is spent annually on over-the-counter products to treat acne and reduce the pain, scarring, and emotional distress that can be associated with it. The basic principle of skin care is to wash the affected area no more than one to two times per day with a mild, nondrying soap. The doctor may suggest using more than one topical medication or using both an oral medication and a topical medication at the same time.

Tropical Acne Medications:

Acne Gel: Nelsons Acne gel is a healing and soothing homeopathic remedy for the relief of acne pimples and blemishes.

Acne Relief: Acne Relief use to Clears and treats existing acne pimples and helps prevent new acne pimples from forming.

Blemish Treatment Lotion: Blemish Treatment Lotion contains salicylic acid in a base of natural botanical extracts to aid in the treatment and relief of acne blemishes, pimples and blackheads.

Acne Cream: Acne Cream is a homeopathic treatment for existing acne blemishes, and also prevents new blemishes from forming beneath the skins surface.
