World Organic was formed in 1969 by Al Licata after having sold key formulations since 1959 under his private label. His brother, Vince Licata, joined the firm at its formation. World Organic specializes in chlorophyll and related green foods, liquid supplements, silica, and other specialty formulas. World Organic also supplies many custom formulations and a full line of private label supplements (other than the World Organic branded products).
World Organic has grown to be the premier supplier of chlorophyll in the health food industry. Its liquid supplement formulas were some of the earliest developed and its liquid line is among the broadest available.
